Hello! My name is Clare and I am the current SHAC President. I have been in SHAC for the past 2 years and have loved it. My goal as President is to help honor students find community and achieve their event planning aspirations. I am here for any student who has questions about the honors program or who needs help in general. I am also a recent Senior Senator for the Student Government Association and am willing to discuss any concerns or issues that people may have around campus. When I'm is not in the Honors lounge, I'm in class or participating in campus activities. I love meeting new people, so if you see me around campus, I encourage you to say hello, so we can get to know each other! :)

Vice President - Casey Moran

Casey Moran (they/them) is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Biological Sciences and minoring in Spanish. They are an out of state student from Illinois who hopes to be able to create a space in our honors community where everyone can create connections regardless of year or where they are from. In their free time, they enjoy reading, cooking, baking, soap-making, candle-making, learning new languages, helping on their father's food truck and playing with their dog.

Hi guys, my name is Bella and this will be my second semester as the secretary for SHAC! I am a biomedical sciences major, and this is my third year at UNC. I am a CNA and passionate about healthcare, and I have the goal of getting my master's and becoming a Physician's Associate after I graduate. I run the U-engage book club and help plan honors events. I am part of the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority on campus as well! Outside of class, you can find me reading a book, drinking lots of coffee, or hanging out with my friends.

Student Outreach Chair - Alyssa Baker

Hi everyone! My name is Alyssa Baker, and I am a nursing major. I am currently in my second year here at UNC. I am the Student Outreach chair for our Student Honors Activities Council (SHAC); this means I will be the one communicating with students, making posters, and running the social medias! I am super excited to be so involved this year and to be able to meet new people within the program through this. I am also a part of the pre-health professionals club, an SI for BIO245, and a tutor. In my free time I love exercising through the gym or hiking, hanging out with my friends (specifically outdoors), or reading a good book. Hi! My name is Anwei Forgues, and I will be serving as SHAC鈥檚 fundraising chair for the year. I鈥檓 from Southern California and am majoring in Sports and Exercise Science. I am also involved in our on-campus Student Government Association and Pre-Health Professionals Club. In my free time I love to read, spend time outdoors and have recently picked up jiu-jitsu! I am so excited to help our honors program continue to grow!

Lily is in her second year of the UNC Sociology MA program and works as a graduate assistant in the Office of Undergraduate Academic Engagement. As part of this role, she serves as the SHAC supervisor. In her free time, Lily enjoys watching TV and movies, crocheting, and singing along to her favorite songs.
